Inspire Community Involvement

Community Team Spirit
Inspire employees are dedicated to hard work and strive for
successes every day. As stated in our mission statement, "We
are empowered to get the job done, and we have fun doing it.
We know that what we do each day makes a difference."
This philosophy carries forth in extracurricular activities as well.

Inspire Cycling Team
Since 2004, Inspire's Cycling team has participated in the MS-150 Bike Tour. The Co-Captains are Amy von Gretener and Tad Gorenflo. Team members include Inspire employees, friends, family members, and scientists from Duke and UNC. Inspire's Sales and Marketing team provided the Team Inspire Elestat^® and AzaSite^® jerseys. Since 2004, the team has raised more than $20,000 for the MS Society.

Inspire Golf League
The Golf League at Inspire consists of approximately twenty-five employees and contractors who play Captain's Choice in teams of two. Chad Ice is the coordinator, and typically a newcomer to golf is paired with a more experienced player. The idea is to have fun, and entice newcomers to learn more about the game. The season runs from April through September each year, and individual teams schedule their games, times, and the course.

American Heart Association
Inspire has been a sponsor of the American Heart Association's Heart Walk since 2005. The Walk is a unique campaign that blends the benefits of physical activity, community involvement and personal giving to fight the nation's number one and number three killers - cardiovascular diseases and stroke. This year, Inspire's team raised close to $3,000 in the 2007 Start! Triangle Heart Walk on October 21, 2007 in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Great Strides Walk
Inspire has been a co-host of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides Walk since 2005. This year, Inspire raised $7,500 for the 10K walk to help fund research through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
